Hi,
I am starting clomid in September. I was wondering what to expect? I had an ectopic in March. XXX

Hi Crypto1976 i'm just finishing my first cycle of clomid. Not as bad as i thought as i'm normally quite sensitive to hormonal changes. Took my tablets at night as gave me hot flushes and sore head but settled after that. However i know people who have taken it with no side effects. I was terrible round ovulation, not myself at all, really irritable mainly. Best of luck

Crypto,
Good Luck hun hope it works for you. I only noticed headaches and more irritable than normal. FXXXX for you.

Thanks for that. I am ovulating (I think) and I know there is a chance of multiples in this situation.

From what you have both said it sounds you are in the same boat?( Hi Puppymom we meet again!!XX).

Are you both hopeful? So many questions!!! X

Hi Crypto,
I am no longer on clomid I did it for a year with periodic scans and it didnt work for me. So now they might switch me to femara which is the same as clomid just works for some people where clomid didnt work. I too ovulate each month my eggs just arent healthy enough and now with only one tube (same as you right?) they want to make sure I am producing healthy follicles on both sides so my good tube has a better shot of catching one. I have heard clomid works for a lot of people. It did dry up my cervical mucus and I have heard it can thin the lining of your uterus but they will see that if you get scans to see if it is working. If not I would just take an baby asprin and try like preseed or EPO for the CM. Good Luck hunny hope it works. let me know how you feel on it. What days do they have you taking it?

I am not starting until september, they want 2 more cycles of natural trying. I havent even had the blood tests.

I only have one tube. I was scanned and it appeared that I tend to ov from the bad side.

I have heard of femara- good luck with that hun. XXX

I am gonna try two more cycles without the femara so maybe we can start taking them around the same time and hopefully both get our BFP's at the same time. Seeings we are only a few days apart. I am on cycle day 5. FXXX for us. Hopefully we wont even need to use those drugs it will just work on its own this month.

Yeh they said about chance of multiples but said we would take the risk as never had a :bfp: in over two years.

Some days i'm hopeful and others i'm not, during this emotional rollercoaster i'm all over the place. DH is always so positive, hoping his PMA will rub off on me more. Was having a bad day today as boobs are sore and feel crampy so think :witch: is on her way. Was being negative about everything and dh assured me it will happen while i'm  telling him i don't think it will. But when the witch arrives i'll pick myself back up and begin my journey again.

Good luck :hugs:

I'm also starting Clomid in September. I have an appointment on the 23rd Sept. It seems like forever. I'm currently on Met but its not really doing anything for me at the moment.
Are you starting at the beginning of Sept? You can let me know how it is before i start.

I dont have a date, I need to do the 21 day bloods so I will see when that falls. Its my gp thats prescribing it so I just pop in. I think that will fall nearer the end of sept.

Good luck everyone! XX

Hi,

Hello

I took Clomid April08 and fell pregnant first go with it! It worked for us, so please be optimistic as possible and stay focused and positive!

I've PCOS, and we tried naturally for 3months but i was under the care of a consultant for years, and she prescribed clomid.

I made OH take Zinc tablets and we stopped drinking coffee and alcohol in order to give Clomid the best possible go. And it worked.

I didnt suffer any side affect's took the tablet before bed and was totally fine.

Amber is now 6months and she is the best thing possible. Good luck
xxxx
