Wow spent the whole morning getting a my medical referall straightened out. My Primary doctor sent me to a High Risk OB/GYN but when I called and explained the situation with my miscarriages, they said that they don't run any pre pregnancy test only after you are pregnant and I need to see a Fertility Doctor to run pre pregnany test. So I finally found a Fertility specialist that is a provider on my medical. Yahoo, it took all morning but mission accomplished. Hopefully I can see her next week so she can tell me my Eggs are too old!! :haha::haha: Well hopefully she won't rangle me into IVF or IUI. If that is the case I'm done concieving...

Well done on getting the appointment you need

Good luck and loads of :dust:

It can be such a struggle getting to see the right person can´t it? My doctor is clueless and tells me "just calm down woman," tranquila mujer which makes my blood boil. I´m glad you got your specialist, let us know how you get on, you know if she gives you any good tips we will all try them out with you. As for old eggs my mum was made with 42 year old eggs, 69 years ago when 42 was old. Now when we are all living longer and healthier surely our eggs must be too. good luck and report back hopefully with good news.

Thank you ladies, both my grandmother were in there late 40's when they had their last child. 45/46 one of the grandmas.

Stalking......I always need to know what different FS say!

I've read that there is a lot we can do to improve egg quality. I have read that if the dna inside the egg is ruined for whatever reason, we can not change that, but a piece of egg quality comes from the 3 month process it goes through, and that we can control a bit. I have heard that royal jelly with bee pollen, green tea, and dhea are all good for improving egg health. I am sorry for your losses. Did they say what the cause was? If not, it could be as easy as a progesterone problem or something. I know how scary it is though. I am 6 weeks pg with my first at 36, and I think I am miscarrying from a blighted ovum, and I too am freaked out that all my eggs are bad. We need to remind ourselves that many many women have healthy children well into their 40's...even drug addicts lol, so we probably have quite a few good eggs left in there!!! Good luck with the specialists!!

I can vouch that many drug addicts have full term (would be healthy but are born withdrawing) babies. I work in a drug treatment clinic. We have one woman who is 41, only has one leg working, the other is useless from a DVT. (she took a huge cocktail of drugs one night and fell asleep for about 36 hours) She had surgery to remove cancerous cells from her vagina and cervix (they actually removed her labia majora). After the surgery she had a prolapse and needed more surgery to get a sling. Straight out of hospital her and the partner decided theyd test out the new vag and bang, she fell preggers! Carried baby to full term, even though she just can stay away from the cocktails of pills she loves so much.

My FS told me to take CoQ10 for egg quality.

hahahaha!! it's so true, here in dublin there is a methadone clinic near my fav book shop. There's a junkie i see frequently, last year she was hugely preggers and out of her banana, 3 weeks ago i saw her again, pushing twins in a pram and preggo again about 7-8 months gone! She's still using you can see the tracks! And then there's us lot worshipping our bodies as potential holy vessels of a much hoped for baby, ready and able, homes, jobs, security etc etc...nothing doing!! infuriating!!

Sometimes I swear that methadone is the worlds most effective fertility drug!!! In the time that I've worked at the clinic I've seen dozens of women become pregnant and have babies and have only known of 1 woman who has miscarried. I've been there for 8 years!!

Ahh Shizzle! Referral is all messed up and was sent back to the hospital, I MC and they already told me that they don't do test there. I called the hospital and the gosh darn lady is on vacation today. Can't I catch a break with the referral.. It will probably take another darn week to fix it....

Well she finally called me back to tell me she was the wrong person to call. Ahh double Shizzle! She gave me the number of the person to call but she is not in the office till Monday.. Can you all believe this....Arrggggg!
