Going to miscarry

So I went to the doctor 2 days ago for a second scan. The first one only had the gestational sac and yolk sac. Well I went in and it was the same and everything is measuring small. I was given 3 options. D&C , abortion pill or wait to have a miscarriage. This is so devastating. What should I do? I really want to try again asap. Has anyone had this option? What would or did you do?

I am so sorry that you are in this situation. I've been there, and I know that it's not fun, to say the least.

I don't think that I can really tell you what to do, but I can tell you what I did. I, too, felt like I wanted to try again asap, but I ended up waiting to miscarry. Don't know if it was the *right* option, or even if there is a *right* option.

I'm so sorry you are going through this.

I have had a D&C and miscarried naturally and both have their pros and cons. If you are unsure maybe you could just wait a bit longer and see what happens.

I took cytotec, a labor induction med, to induce a mmc. My doc always try's that before a D&C. It was easy and if by chance didn't work, I could of had a D&C. Do your research, make sure your doc makes you aware of the pros and cons are. I feel that some docs are not straight forward with some of the reprocussions of a D&C. That being said, many women have each procedure and are perfectly fine after. I believe there is a bit of a wait time to ttc after D&C, but I could definitely be wrong. I had no wait time after cytotec. I actually got pregnant the next month. Good luck, I know how hard this decision is

So sorry your going through this. I had a d&c once with my first pregnancy a blighted ovum. I was around 10 wks but meausring 12. You have to wait 2 wks right after to use tampons or have sex but other then that I started trying right away I did not get pregnanat again till the 4th cycle though. I have also used the cytotec on a twin/triplet mmc but had one baby left at that time so it was like a singleton mc. It was very painful but only lasted about a day how ever it took about 2 wks to pass everything and when some tissue got stuck it was pretty painful. However with the d&c I bleed and passed tissues for about 2 wks too. . I did not want another d&c for that pregnancy b/c I was scared about scarring since at the time it was my 4th mc. and I had 2 chem before that.

Keep in mind there is risk with both. D&C scarring or infection and not getting it all so haveing to do another one. with the Pill you can hemorage, still have to have a d&c and still chance for infection. Just make sure they follow your hcg levels down to 0 or close to it.

I had found out that a partial septate in my uterus was causing my mc and I had that resected in Dec 2011 and they found some tissue/ "products of conception' still left from my mc in Oct when I used the pill. However they said that it probable would not have caused in problems and it would have probably came out with each period I had.
