This is my 5th month of clomid (days 3-7) and I've decided not to take it anymore. I think I have gotten to the point where the side effects are not worth it. I already ovulate on my own, this was supposed to help me super ovulate. I can take the hot flashes, but I'm starting to feel extremely depressed, I've cried all day. Anyone else do something similar? I'm hoping it wont hurt me in any way just to stop in mid cycle?

I stopped Clomid after 8 cycles. The hot flashes, intense headaches, and emotional rollercoasters had me going nuts. I couldn't take it anymore. If you stop mid cycle, I don't think it'll be a big deal. :hugs: to you!

Just want to say I sympathize. Clomid sucks, it makes me sob for days, emotional wreck, gives me indigestion, hot flashes, and to top it all off the stupid stuff does nothing for me. Both cycles, upped to 100mg, and no follicles developing from it. I'm ready to quit too.

Good luck dear, I'll have my fingers crossed for you!

I'm on clomid although I ovulate on my own, and i agree, it sucks. I'm only on round 3 of the stuff and luckily my side effects aren't too bad, but I do get hot flushed during the night, and very emotional. Whats odd for me is my side effects usually occur after i've stopped taking the tablets and before ovulation, so I can only assume I am the most hormone fuelled woman going when popping out those eggs.

Still no BFP though, and I've read a lot about the uselessness of clomid for woman who already ovulate so I'm not holding my breath. If you want to stop taking it, go for it! We already go through enough on this TTC journey, never mind letting our bodies and minds be ruined by something a doctor had thrown at us.

:hugs:

I done 6 cycles of clomid and felt exactly the same. The hot flushes and mood swings were just not worth it for me.

I also ovulate on my own, well before clomid I certainly did, but I haven't been tracking my cycles since I came off it two cycles ago. So I didn't hold out much hope that it would make any difference for me either.

You do what feels right for you and if that means stopping clomid, that's what you have to do.

Good luck

Thanks ladies! Right now I feel extremely depressed and I think it's the clomid. I don't remember feeling this bad before I took it.

You've done well, 3 cycles in a row is enough for me, then I need a break!:dohh:

You can always wait a couple of months then do your 6th cycle when you feel ready :flower:
