I'm new to the forum. Hope everyone is doing well. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for nine months and we are now on to a fertility specialist. I'm 37 with relatively good levels (FSH 9.6), my HSG was clear, I'm ovulating everything looks fine. Husband has borderline sperm morphology but the doctor said very borderline.
SO I've done two IUI cycles so far - one natural and one with Clomid. Nothing. This month I'm seeing the fertility specialist and they want to 'go for it'. Because of my age and because my insurance doesn't cover anything. They are wanting me to take Clomid, Gonal-F, ovidrel, a trigger shot, have 2 IUIs, then take progesterone -- frankly I'm a but scared of all these drugs.
1. Will this be too much for me? I'm seems like a lot with no diagnosis
2. Is it normal to take Clomid and Gonal-F at the same time? It seems these drugs do the exact same thing.
We are obviously really wanting to get pregnant I just wonder if they are attacking it with a sledgehammer.
I'd appreciate your response. I need to start the medication in a couple of days
