I have a Close baby carrier https://www.closeparent.com/Default...301&Level=1&SortField=ProductName,ProductName but my son is too big for it now--he legs dangle down to my knees which makes it hard to walk and he feels so heavy when I carry him on my front.

https://www.mothercare.com/Motherca...ing=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=42833041&mcb=core I also have but its more for outdoors, think its maybe a bit much for around town/around the house?

Any ideas for a good carrier for a older baby--think a back carrier would be best.

I have a Boba:

It's meant for babies 1-4yrs old and has foot straps for the baby (good for keeping the dangling feet out of your way). I've got a big baby so I really like it. Something like a Connecta would probably be good too since it's got buckles and good for back carries.

we still love our mei tai and harry is 15 months now

We still use our babyhawk for Hayden who is 29mo, but really just on my back now. If you're buying it at 12mo and up though I'd get the toddler hawk...longer body. Also heard the ergo is great for toddlers

I used to swear by ergo but then a german friend sent me a manduca - BRILLIANT!

My melkaj is fab and my LO is nearly 2 and around 30lbs. It has a fairly long body so is suitable for a toddler but the cord straps are really supportive and grippy. Was great for front or back carries. I'm selling it now though as my daughter refuses to be worn anymore.
