From googling online I found the only relief to PUPPPS that the majority of women agreed on was "Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap". My doctor didn't straight forwardly tell me that I have PUPPPS but from his reasoning for why I have this rash over my stretchmarks and the reasoning why women get PUPPPS and looking at pictures I concluded I do have it.

I decided against the medicine my doctor prescribed me so now I am back at base one. I've been layering on the Cortisone but I'm having to do this 3-4 times a day to get complete relief and waking up in the middle of the night slapping it on in desperation to stop the itching.

From all the reviews I have read this Grandpa soap seems like it would really help me out, it's just I am not sure where to get it. I've never heard of it before and I don't really want to order it online and have to wait. Anyone in the US know what stores carry this soap? And also anyone have any reviews on this soap?

Thanks! I'm going insaneeeeeeeeeeeee with trying to stop this itching. :dohh:

looks like you can get it at a GNC store do you have one of those around you? dont quote me on it Id call to make sure before going but thats what I found on the internet :)

From the picture you posted and the description it isnt Puppps.. Thats a red rash that spreads.. onto thighs arms upper belly legs etc.... we have an outbreak ON the stretchmarks.. its different to Puppps, i asked my doctor if thats what i had she got a 2nd and 3rd opinion but its def not .. its simply an outbreak on the stretchmarks, self diagnosis isnt accurate i wouldnt spend money on something when uv not been diagnosed as it. the doctors would of known straight away if its Puppps - its very common,

Even if I don't have PUPPPS the soap is mild and used if you have skin problems. Wouldn't hurt if I at least tried.

If it's the soap I'm thinking of, I LOVE the smell so much! My nan always used to have it, it was bright yellow and it smelt so clean! But that was coal tar soap...I'm assuming they're the same thing though.

I'm sure you can find some online, have you looked on ebay? It's really nice, I really want some myself now! :D

definatly wouldnt hurt and its only 4 dollars so your not putting much money into it :)

No wouldnt hurt , wasnt saying that. the way you worded it sounded like you had decided it was pupps and this was the cure... Its def not pupps tho, mines flaring up this past day or two aswell but pupps looks completely different and spreads

if anyone needs some, i can get it around $3 a bar.

I've been reading alot about this on the internet as i am 25 weeks pregnant and have PUPPPs, does anyone know where you can get this in the uk?

Hi Ladies, I am currently 27 weeks pregnant and have come out in a terrible rash. I booked myself in at the doctors only to be told AGAIN "yes this is pregnancy unfortunately", That is the answer I get for everything. She prescribed me a cream which works but not for long.

I have found a solution that has been working and actually gave me a decents night sleep last night........

COLD COMPRESS!!!! I have two tea towels both quite thick, I soaked them in water and put them in the freezer for about 20 minutes. After that one went in the fridge and one went straight on my belly, I laid there watching tv until bed and after I cleaned my teeth I layered my belly in thick sudo cream. This kept me asleep until 3 30am (until I needed a wee) I then went downstairs and got the other towel from the fridge and went back to bed with it on my belly. This then carried me through until 8am.

Today was the first morning that I have woken up to a non itchy belly, that was until I jumped in the bath and irritated it all over again! The heat seems to make it worse!!

Anyway I swear by this cold tea towel compress, I will be doing it all over again tonight. Just remember not to leave the towels in the freezer too long before transferring to the fridge otherwise they will be rock solid.

Let me know how you find this if you try it xxxxxx
