I would have appreciated these had I known I was going to have a C Section.

My son was born at 37 weeks via C Section on Septemeber 18, 2012. He was 10lbs 5oz. I also had excessive amniotic fluid and his chord was triple in size due to my gestational diabetes. Baby had already been diagnosed with Macrosomia (big baby syndrome).

Let me know if you have any questions.

Beautiful photos, thank you for sharing x

Having a c section terrifies me more than anything else in the world so these really help to see what happens to a real person x

Enjoy your little man :)

I didn't find out I was having one until the day before. I was so miserable I didn't care what method it took. Really it all happens so fast. The only part that was bad was right after my spinal my blood pressure dropped and I felt a little faint, but it was only for a few seconds. And the first few hours after are pretty sore, but all in all I would do it again if I needed.

Good luck. Glad I could help.

Brilliant photos, thanks for sharing.

Amazing photos LeighAnne. My induction failed so I am t-minus 2 hours until my section...These helped me a lot! :)

just saw this, thanks
and congrats, beautiful BIG boy!

I have had two vaginal deliveries and I would choose C Section if I had to do it again. Just my opinion.

Krippy!!!! Woo hoo! Good luck! Keep us posted!!

Really? So you have had 2 vaginal and 1 section and you would do te section again? How was recovery? When you first got home could you walk around and hold baby? My OB said I could choose so I'm trying to decide what would b best for me and baby

I was up walking about 10 hours after and was up walking to the NICU every three hours to feed baby until the day we went home. Never missed a feeding. Healing between the legs was way worse for me. Just my experience. The C Section was easy for me. I didn't even need help after the first night.

You are very lucky to have these photos! We couldn't have any photos of his actual birth, just after as he was being weighed and family pics and such.

I agree with you too! My c-section was way better than my vaginal birth :) I had a forcep delivery with my first w/ episiotomy/major tearing. That recover was way worse than the surgery!

Congratulations;)):happydance:
Beautiful pictures...and even cuter baby:hugs:

I had to have a section (baby was small for dates, breech and i had reduced fluid) and was dreading it but i have to say it was nowhere near as bad as i expected! My sister had a normal delivery 2 months before and i think she had a much worse experience! Our section was planned so it was actually quite nice and special! I recovered well and as previous poster said i was up and about that night and could pick up and care for my little angel (although he only 5lb 5oz). im not saying id definately choose one next time (id like to experience contractions next time - i know i must be mad!) but i wouldnt be worried if i had to have one!

My last baby. :( I'll cherish these pics forever.

I had a c section and I did experience labour first but would like a vbac next time. Thanks for sharing that you would c section if you did it again, really interesting.

My two labors were pretty uneventful too. First was 8 hour induction. Second was 5 hour induction. First I had a full episiotomy (one hole to the next). Second I tore a little. To me the C Section was more painful the first day, but they keep you pretty doped up. After about ten hours I was brand new. Lol. I felt so good. The end of my pregnancy was so miserable. Ten and half pounds of baby and double the amniotic fluid. It hurt to breathe. So I was feeling awesome just to not be pregnant.

Congratulations! Thanks for sharing your pictures by the way :flower:

He is gorgeous, hope you're both doing well at home now!

We are. He is almost 15 pounds now and is a proper "titty" baby. :)

Thank you. :)
