Hello Group,

I am new here and thought I would introduce myself. I've read many threads over the past few months, and felt this was a good resource to turn to for support. I celebrated my 36th birthday last week, however I didn't receive the present I was looking for. :nope: This month concludes the 7th month we have been trying to conceive with assistance. We did 3 rounds of Clomid, with no success. We moved on, and just completed our 4th round of injectables (Repronex + Clomid), and disappointment struck once again yesterday---so 7 failed cycles in a row. We are on a break this month to let my ovaries rest.

I don't understand what the problem is. I respond very well to the drugs (many cycles with as many as 7 mature follicles, including this last one) however no pregnancy. I do have a daughter who will be 16 this summer, and I have not been pregnant in the last 16 years; I was on the pill for 14 of those years. Now that I'm ready, it seems my body isn't. I've done all the traditional things including HSG, and laproscopy/hystescopy and my fiance is only 29 with a great sperm count. We've been holding off setting the wedding date, as we were hoping to get preggy first since my clock is ticking, and it seems like every day counts.

From what I've read, most people would move on to IVF after 6 failed tries, but we do not have the resources for that. And I don't know really what to do at this point. Anyhow, thank you for allowing me to introduce myself. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Hi:flower:..I'm 36 as well and have a DD that just turned 15 this week and a DS that is 13:haha: We did use Clomid and quickly got pregnant with the first 2 and then nothing:cry: DH worked away alot in the years that followed and FS seems to think we didn't hit the timing etc. so hubby hasn't worked away in about 2 years and we did 6 rounds of Clomid and nothing:shrug: We were then moved on to IVF which we'll be looking at doing in Sept. So long story short we've been trying full on for about 2 years this time and we're both fine no issues or anything like that. We continue to try naturally every month and as we were told it can happen IVF or not, so don't give up and I know you'll find lots of support here:hugs:

Hello & welcome! :hugs: :hugs:

Welcome, sorry to hear your having a tough time! It is so hard not to get a bfp especially if no one can explain why it isn´t working. Keep on in there and I hope you get that special present really soon!

Hello and so sorry that so far nothing has helped you get your BFP :hugs:

Good luck when you start TTC and hope your BFP stops being illusive :hugs::dust::hugs:

Have you tried IUI yet? That can bypass some problems, ie. if you have hostile cervical mucus. It doesn't sound like your problem is with egg production!

Otherwise I would suggest Traditional Chinese Medicine. (a good book to read is The Infertility Cure by Randine Lewis) I was seeing a TCM practitioner for a while and found it helpful. But now I am taking a break until I get (hopefully) a western diagnosis, but I have to wait until August for a specialist appt.
