I waited until the second trimester to possibly have my hair colored with the safest products available, probably semi-permanent. However, I am not even sure if this is even necessary. Normally, I have a good amount of gray hair and have had some of them since I was 18 years old, but since I got pregnant I actually started noticing less gray hair and there might not even be a need for coloring them!

I did a little research and found this: https://greyhairdefence.blogspot.com/2011/04/vitamin-b12-and-folic-acid-deficiency.html I was not able to download the articles quoted in this post, but it is still interesting.

Before, I might have had a slight deficiency in B12 and possibly did not also take enough folic acid too. Since I thought about getting pregnant I religiously started to take all the prenatal vitamins, DHA and folic acid. I think this actually really helped to stop further gray hair development. Next to this 'pregnancy glow' and shiny hair and nice nails, for me it is just another fantastic thing about pregnancy :)

Hmmm, you may be onto something here. Now that you mention it, I haven't noticed any in a couple of months, and there are a couple spots where a strand or two can always be found. Huh.

I'm the opposite.. I have found more gray hair during my pregnancy than ever before! I chalk it up to all the worrying I do!

I have noticed my hair going grey since being pregnant, and I am 31 next week. I feel old before my time !!! :haha:

Glad that some of you are noticing less gray hair! No such luck for me. I am as gray as ever. I started going gray when I was only 21. I am 35 now and at least 30% of my hair is gray. I have been very good with vitamins even before I got pregnant and used to take a B-complex tablet in addition to regular multivitamins. Mine is genetic though so if your gray hair is stress related then B vitamins might help.
