Does anyone else have this? I bought one a few weeks ago as I've heard how great they are for making a room completely dark, which is what we need for Holly to go to sleep. But the suction pads keep unsticking and it is partially falling down numerous times a day. I am really annoyed as it was quite expensive. Does anyone have any ideas? Do you need to cut it to size with scissors first so that it's not so heavy?

Have you gathered it up with the buttonhole tape to fit the window? Also are you wetting the suction pads slightly?

We've got one and it's a godsend. The suction pads stick better to the inside of the window frame (white PVC) than to the actual glass. I moisten them very slightly and also roll up the excess fabric at the bottom and rest it on the windowsill so the weight isn't pulling the blind down. We've got a roller blind over top which keeps it all in place and the room is pitch dark. We bag it and take it on holiday with us too and it's fab. Would highly recommend.

If you can't make it work, you can also try an opaque blanket pegged over the curtains. That's what we do in my son's room and it works perfectly, better than struggling with suction cups!

I have the older style one that doesn't have the drawstring it falls down more if we haven't got the weight spread out so making sure that the end suckers are attached which does mean bunching up a bit on smaller windows. As others have said making sure the suckers are damp and that any extra on the bottom is supported on a window sill helps. It also sticks better to a freshly cleaned window. I love mine and take them on all holidays and have 1 permanently up in my 6mo room.

I gather mine too as per the instructions and it's great. I found that when I didn't do that it would eventually fall. They are great!

^^^ this is what we do with ours.

We had to buy Velcro strips for ours as I was so fed up of it falling down in the middle of the night!

We did also cut it to size so it wasn't as heavy.

We have wooden frames rather than white PVC window frames so that wouldn't have worked for us.

Thanks ladies. Have wet the suction pads slightly today and that seems to have done the job! :D
