Groom Present

Just wondering what you are buying your groom as a present ... if anything? I need some ideas xx

I got mine Tiffany cufflinks which he wore on our wedding day.

I was thinking cufflinks for the day but I wouldnt spend loads then he not wear them, doesnt wear watches either. He would probably appreciate a ps3 game more haha!

Mr Boofs has everything (hes got me! ) but I'll get him a fancy kilt pin for his wedding day kilt x

Yeah it's tricky, so did mine but he swapped them over. He's only worn them once since (same as my wedding shoes) but that's ok, they're in their box and in my keepsake chest that I put together after the wedding. I saved my bracelet I was given, garter etc never to be worn again.

How about a keyring or something instead? You could get it engraved with the date of your wedding on? Or a driving experience at Silverstone for a bit of fun? Can recommend the Ferrari Experience, 4x4 experience, Rally thrill and Lotus thrill.

I got Hubby a pocket watch. He doesn't wear a watch either but he likes having the pocket watch as a cool memento. I also got it engraved.

I didn't get anything for my hubby, I don't think... I can't actually remember, but I'm 99% sure I didn't! He didn't get me anything either.

I would go with the cufflinks idea - as Mrs Venn said, he can swap them over.

Or, what about something a bit of fun, like some boxer shorts and socks? something a bit naughty or comical or something, that he can wear under his suit?

I bought him a digital SLR camera, i knew he really wanted one and we can take it on honeymoon! Had a slight panic about it tho and told him!!!

My hubby was a nightmare to buy for.

He isn't one for wanting things. He doesn't wear a watch, cufflinks etc. Doesn't drink etc. So is hard to buy for.

So I went more "unusual"

I brought a DVD of the movie we saw on our first date. ( he done the same!!!!)
I made a CD of songs that meant something to us, good and funny (Kermit The Frog happy feet!!!)
A Good Husbands guide book
I also wrote a small story called Ragdoll and Fidget (our nicknames) as childrens toys a ragdoll and teddy dog. We joked our nicknames sound like chidrens characters from a book so I wrote one.
