Grunting/Straining Noises??

LO is almost 6 months and for awhile has been making these weird grunting & straining noises all the time...it kinda sounds like something is bothering her. But she sleeps okay and smiles a lot and seems happy too. We've taken her to the doctor plenty of times too and she is healthy they say. I don't think she is constipated either bc she has regular BMs. This just seems kind of odd to me. Has anyone heard this before?

My 6 month old grunts quite a bit. It seems to me like he is TRYING to tell us something, but all he can do is grunt at this point. Like he has the idea you make noise to each other to communicate, but he doesn't speak english yet

It's just a thing they do as part of developing vocal skills. One of my lactation consultants is a speech pathologist and she said it is a totally normal thing. My LO has been doing it constantly this past week.
