Dillon always guzzles his formula feeds so much that he regularly chokes on it. He's on size 1 TT CTN AC+ teats, which are supposed to be slow flow. how can I stop him choking himself? Different teat? Holding him more upright? I am clueless.

Could it be that he's not differentiating between breast (having to suckle hard) and bottle (having to do less work)? If so, He'll prob be totally FFd within a few weeks due to the damage his strong latch is doing, do you think that will solve it?

Advice appreciated x

I combo feed.

I know it sounds weird but when my LO started doing the exact same thing i tried the next teat size UP and it stopped:wacko:

She is only 9 weeks old but has been on size 2s for nearly three weeks.

Millie was the same hun, struggled with every teat going, every newborn teat seemed too fast as she has a strong suck (I am combi feeding also). I found the mam bottles and she is brilliant on these, as they latch on like your breast. I also tried breast flow bottles, but didnt get on well with these as they leaked quite a bit.

Thanks for the tips girls. We picked up some vari-flow the other day and he seems to be doing a little better with them. FXd he settles down now :)
