Hello all, Just got back from the hospital, 3 days over and my consultant gave me a sweep! Not pleasant! Just wondering, anyone with previous experience, how long did it take to 'work'? anyone had one and it not 'worked'? Need details!!! I've got period type pains and have had them every since, not show or anything yet though. And if we cant get her out this way I've got an induction date of the 29th April!! Slightly panicing now!! hehe
If its going to work hun it will work within 72 hours. I had bad pains for about 5 hours after my sweep but then they went and i lost some of my plug the day after but thats it I hope it works for you! x
I'm optimistic...but knowing my luck i'll get the pleasure of having another on thursday and then having the induction too lol. Damn the comfy babies!!!
oh i hope it works for you .. i have one tomorrow and i really dont want it think i would be bloody induced and get it over with lol
I had mine on the wenesday and started contracting thursday gave birth sunday ....took so long as i was only 37 wks x
Hope it works for you xx I had one last time which didn't work so had to have the drip and induction. But my LO is a stubborn boy! LOL
Oooo good luck! I was already in early labour when i had my sweep. Was 2cm & having contractions every 10mins. Had sweep to get things going quicker at 1.30pm as i had pre eclampsia, by 4pm i was 4cm & 8.30pm 10cm, waters went & ready to push! Hope it gets things moving for you.
Good luck hun, period pains is a good sign its doing something, somewhere within 48 hours they say after a sweep if it was successful, I had one with a previous PG and it was around then xxx
