Had c-section monday ( sharp pains and hard to breath)

I had a c-section monday6-4-2012 ( 3rd c-section) .....i also had my tubes tied ..anywho , after my section monday when they wanted me to start walking it hurt so bad ( i know it suppose to hurt) with my first it hurt really bad with my section i was up an walking around it barely hurt this 3rd one is like the first and im not sure if it cause of my tubes being tied ...i have a pain in my back that stops me dead in my tracks i cant talk ir anything it starts low then goes up my spine like a pulse or something ..it had just started tuesday night .now it is at my arms and going to my chest and working its way up my throat .the pain was so bad in my chest this morning i couldnt even move ...also starting at my hips and working down is still swollen my feet look like balloons .has anybody else experince this my doctor appt.is monday but im not sure if i should wait that long or just go ahead and go to the emergency room ..i do have a disorde for blood clots

were you given socks with the caesarian to prevent embolisms? I had to wear them from before the caesarian up to 5 days afterwards to prevent clots. This may be standard UK policy, may be different in the States? Not to scare you but post surgery (non baby related) my friend had a blood clot with symptoms just like yours, please dont wait for your appt, please go to ER straight away, it could be very serious.

I have only just seen this - I hope you are ok and have gone to the ER as I think you may have a clot. I had my emergency section on 13th may and was discharged on the 15th. I had pain in my chest and difficultly breathing and swollen ankles for the next few days, but thought nothing of it. I mentioned it to my health visitor on the 18th and was admitted to hospital straight away for treatment; clexane injections to thin blood and break down the clot which was on my lung. Treatment was fine and I was given a private room with a cot so baby could stay with me. It was the last thing I wanted with a 5 day old baby but the doctors told me constantly that it could have saved my life.
