had my scan!

and all is well!

She couldnt find the bean for ages and i was really panicking but after a little while she found the yolk sac. she couldnt get a good view so we had to do an internal which certainly wasnt very pleasant. But we found the bean with its heart beating away which was lovely she measured the bean at 6+4 because she couldnt get a very good view and she thought it best to err on the side of caution. So i have a feeling that the dates will get put forward again when we have the 12 week scan, i definitely didnt ovulate 5 days later than i thought!

But yeah, all is well so hooray

Oh, by the way, yesterday´s scan also set me back with a few days. According to my first scan, yesterday I should have been 7 weeks & 1 day. But yesterday´s scan said I was 6 weeks and 2 days. So we´ll have to wait and see.

Glab everything went ok.

I had this problem, went for an early internal scan, i thought i was 6 weeks and 6 days but the measurements said 5 weeks and 6 days. The nurse said the same to be on the safe side class as 5+6 as they are so small at that stage and hard to get a good view.

Yeah that's such good news. Don't worry too much about dates, as you say they'll prob put you forward at 12 weeks. I'm so glad all went well for you. I'm hoping they don't have to do an internal at my scan - I'll be 8 weeks 3 days. Doesn't sound too nice & hopefully I'll be far enough on. Anyway, yeah!

I'm so happy for you im_mi, I forget we are on opposite sides of the world.......My scan will be at 3:30pm today but I live in the States. I'm glad you had a chance to see the heartbeat, thats what I hope for too..........

So pleased your scan went well sweetie! Try not to worry about being put back. I did too at my scan so for now going by ov dates til my next one.

You have to remember that it all depends on how long it takes for the sperm to meet the egg after ovulation has taken place that can put your dates out a day or 2

What a worry it must have been when she was unable to find your bean. At this stage though its hard to see on a external scan and internals are usually better though I hate having them. Mine next week will no doubt be another internal one. x
