So yday the little madam wasnt moving very much and Iv had few days of headaches and cramps etc so thought I best get it checked out...as OH and I are at my parents I had to go to nearest nat unit rather than usual one....so I ring they tell me to come in....hook me up on the monitor and sure enough baby girlie starts kicking like theres no tomorrow lol!! Heartbeat super strong and a fab trace also...which fits in with her being a bit bigger than 29 weeks, even mw was surprised and kept saying...ooh baby is so small right now we cant tell what position they are in...how come my mw at 28 weeks could tell lol!!
Well...so as baby is kicking and punching etc I say to mw and DH...typical...as soon as I come to get checked out she starts moving lol...(tbh was feeling a bit foolish at this point bcos i was genuinely worried and didnt want mw just to think i was being paranoid etc) and the MW said "saying things like that, oh its like you want something to be wrong in your pregnancy!! Just enjoy it!!" that comment really stung...why on earth would I wish ill on my own pg when I was told in the first place i couldnt have babies!! I didnt reply how I wanted to but I did say that I was just embarrassed a bit and that lil girlie was clearly a drama queen and wanted the attention on her lol!! Its only on reflection today I realised that that comment has upset me...sorry for rant btw!! Ps baby and me are all good :-D

urgh what a horrid thing to say!! I dont know why they think they can say things like this to people.. totally uncalled for. Im glad everything was ok hun xx

Glad im not the only one that thouhht is was mean lol!! I was just worried and wanted to b checked out thats all...thank you v much huni :-D xxxx

it was very mean hun. I really have a thing against some midwives at the moment. Im sick of getting ones who "don't care" or treat you like dirt for being concerned about your baby. It gives all the nice ones a bad name and makes people wary about actually going to them when they are scared about something. I hope you dont listen to what she said.. silly woman that she is x:hugs:

Wow that was an unneccesary thing to say! Its not like you expressed disapointment that nothing was wrong, just said it was typical. Silly woman!

how rude! the amount of inconsiderate midwives! she may of just been saying it light heartedly, but it was still not a nice thing to say.

Sorry she upset you, that was a bit of an unnecessary comment. If it helps, it's actually really common for babies to start moving more when you get on the monitor - they respond to the stimulation of the midwife feeling your belly before they put it on, and then the monitor itself. I'm told they actually worry if they don't respond. Glad all was well, and try not to dwell on what she said x

Thanks ladies :) its true that the bad ones give the good ones a bad rep zxx
