Hair loss in 1st tri?

I had my m/c at 16w. In my first trimester I lost handfuls of hair - it started at about 6w. The doctors ran a bunch of bloodwork (checked my thyroid and I don't know what else) and I was told that it's just one of those things that sometimes happens. I had 3 successful pregnancies before my m/c and didn't lose any hair until after the babies were born. I'm 8w in to my pregnancy following m/c and the hair loss has started again. Has anyone else experienced this and had a successful pregnancy? TIA!

Is it clumps of hair? I noticed more hair falling out, but its strands, not clumps...

If I run my fingers through my hair I can get 8-15 strands with any given comb through o.o I asked on another board and lots of the women there have lost lots of hair during their pregnancies so I think it's going to be okay.

I'm guessing girl for me by all my neck acne, lol. Only time I've ever had that before is when I was pregnant with my girls.

I can't wait to know....I am anxious this time around as with my son I did not notice my hair falling out so yeah, kinda thinking it may be a girl...maybe getting my hopes up who knows? I do think part of me is thinking well if it is a girl it will be a total different experience and won't take any of the special"ness" away from my son's birth....being pregnant definitely brings up a lot of emotions again.

I'm losing hair too, but it's strands that I collect from the shower drain mostly. It's mostly normal from what I've read.

I always she'd some because I have a thyroid condition, but it's worse now and my thyroid level is totally normal. Yay for the joys and mysteries of pregnancy.

Lol same here! After first tri it slowed down...I actually feel like it's very thivk, gonna get a hair cut about a month before baby as I don't cut it that often!!
