if you are unfamiliar with the hairline test, here's a brief summary...

For BTDT moms only, since it requires looking at child/ren you already have.

It's very easy, look at the back of your child's neck, if their hairline comes to a point your next child should be the opposite sex and if their hairline is straight acrossed/flat then your next child should be of the same gender.

For example, you have 3 children and are pregnant again. Your oldest child is a boy and his hairline is straight then your 2nd child is a boy (and for hypothetical reasons let's just say the hairline is correct for this example) so you look at your second born child, another bot and his hairline comes to a point, this would indicate that your next child is a girl. Then look at your third born, a daughter and her hairline is pointed as well, this would indicate that the child you are pregnant with is a boy.

It seems bizarre but it has been accurate with everyone I have checked.

Be careful when checking boys however, as some appear to have a straight line but it could have been buzzed during a haircut.

So did it work for you??

i did it and my sons comes to a point which means girl :)

Lol I am resisting the urge to go and disturb baby to look at his hair now. Must remember to check tomorrow

will check when I pick him up from dayhome but if memory serves me correct it's straight across

my first DS has a point... I had a chemical pregnancy and an early miscarriage before DS2. DS2 has a point and I'm pregnant with DS3

I have 5 boys. #4 has a point, #3 has a side point, so its not 100%. But still fun.

Daughters hair is straight at the end, and we are having another girl.

What if kiddos have different daddies? I mean my hubby is my daughters dad by all counts other than blood...so does it still count?

Mine has a point, his hair got long and went to a little point at the end, just got it cut though :) x

Unless it doesn't count for kids with different fathers its not true in our case...my daughter has a straight hairline and we are definately having a boy, he couldn't resist flashing the sonographer today...lol

Interesting! I just checked my kids. My oldest has a straight hairline and my youngest is a boy. I just checked his, and it comes to a point. Two weeks until we can see for sure!

I just lifted DS2's hair up and along his neck(like the new stuff growing) is straight but the spray hairs that's over it come to a point, that's what I looked at.
So if that's the case it would indicate boy again which would be true.

For ds1 his is very pointy, so I wonder if it accounts for MCs? If that's the case it might have meant girls then?

I must say I have three kids and all have a very distinct point on their hairline and the birth order is boy, girl, boy and we are all really thinking this next one is a girl. I have never been wrong with my instinct either, so hopefully. This has worked for our family so far.

my little man has a point and i am having a little girl this time round

doesnt work out for me my DS1 has a point i did have a mmc at 16weeks inbetween DS1 and DS2 so baby could of been a girl but DS2 has a straight cut and im having a little girly this time :flower:

My son has a point and my daughter has a point so would be right in that case but we have been told this one is a girl so wrong there x
