Half their adult height at 2?

So my husband said toddlers are half their adult height at the age of 2 and naturally I didn't believe him

After googling it I found it is in fact true!!!

This means my Laura will be about 6foot tall

What do you think? Have you measured your toddler??

It isn't accurate. My parents were told I was going to be 6 feet tall. I'm 5'6!

well im 161cm, and at two years old i was roughly 82cm, so almost the same!
Harriet is 83cm at 2 years and is predicted already to be around my height

I was about 2 ft as a toddler so should be 4 ft if that is the case lol, am actually 5ft2.

Zander is not 2 yet but he is 31 1/2 inches and has been since 15 months his brother was the same as he is now (actually a pound heavier and same height) at 12 months old so Zander will be my shorter boy I did an online calculator on that and Zander is supposed to be around 5 '7 and that does sound about right since thats my height and Im actually the shorter one in my family and my husband is a couple of inches taller than me and he is the tall one in his family lol but I think my oldest will be closer to 6 foot he is just tall!

It worked out to be pretty accurate for both myself and my brother (although my brother was a preemie- it was his height doubled at his corrected age). Emma was about 36" a few months ago but I still kinda doubt she'll be over 6' even though hubby and I are both tall.

I think for girls it's supposed to be at a slightly younger age you double it but I can't remember. I don't know how true it can be.

Just worked it out, connor would be 5ft 2 which i doubt. I thought he would be abit taller as im 5ft 5 and OH is 6ft

There's a graph in the red book that predicts height at adulthood from 2 check that one out and see if it's similar! x
