hey girls ever since a gorjus ickle princess looking girl started at my nursery ive fell in love with her name....Summer I totally adore it! Unfortunately our surname is Guest. Summer Guest...lol doesnt work!!! Just thought id put it out there for anyone looking for a girls name...i just adore it xx

When I was pregnant with my 1st and I told people what I was going to call him I got a lot of the 'he's going to be bullied at school' type comments, I ignored them and still called my baby Noah, he's a popular little boy at school, everyone is his friend and not once has anyone child age commented on his name. I still occasionally get the 'does he have 2 of each toy' question by adults but I laugh it off, it's easier now to give a child different names than when we were younger (god I sound ancient I'm only 24 )

Anyway Noah's becoming quite popular now so it won't be long before it's a 'common' name lol!

Summer Guest sounds lovely to me, very girly, plus it isn't often you use full names anyway so she'd just be known as 'Summer'

torture? are you for real, i hardly think giving a child a pretty name is torture, sure some people may put the 2 together and say some things but that can happen with any name, My eldest is called Brandon and gets called bran the man when people tease him, i think there are far more 'torturous' names around than summer guest,

how about adding a middle name hun or maybe a hyphenated first name, although i think itsd a pretty enough name anyway

Yes, I'm for real and yes Summer is a nice name, but giving that to her girl with the surname Guest is just asking for trouble.
I went to school with a girl named Holly. Seems innocent enough till you learn her last name was Wood. Seriously, Holly Wood, not cool.

I think it's a pretty name, although she could get some eejits making comments along the B&B/Hotel lines, but then kids can be cruel and will make things up about any name.

Maybe you could hyphenate her first name or give her a middle name....

I thought at first Summer Eve Guest, but think that might add to the above.

How about Summer Grace Guest, Summer Rose Guest... something short but pretty that would break it up?

Would be a shame not to be able to use a name that you love so much.

It was on our list too but doesn't go with the surname, it would be 'Summer Fryer' (!) I had a look online and it's number 23 (I think) of the top girls names
