I think I can honestly say that this has been, to date, the hardest week of being a parent.

So, the sage begins during the night Friday, January 21st.

Friday: Addy starts throwing up.
Saturday: Addy continues to throw up & diarrhea. Not eating. Not drinking.
Sunday: Addy still throwing up & diarrhea.
Monday: You guessed it! Still throwing up & diarhea. Woke up to crib covered in diarrhea. Went to pedi. He says come back if no improvement in 24 hours.
Tuesday: WE'RE GOOD! Off to work. Off to daycare.
Wednesday: Happy happy babies!
Thursday: Liv catches cold. Spiked temp. And coughs all night. Almost took her to the emergency room cuz she couldn't seem to catch her breath.
Friday: Addy catches cold. Runny nose. Fever. Olivia starts throwing up.
Saturday: Olivia throwing up. Refusing all food and drink. Addy fever.
Sunday: Olivia throwing up. Refusing all food and drink. Addy fever. Addy has croup!
Monday: No more throw up. No more fever.
Tuesday (tomorrow): We hope all is well! Plans are to go to work.

It's been wild. In the midst of this, my hubby and I both have colds! We also both got the GI bug but only the diarhea not the throwing up. I also ended up with a clogged duct because Olivia was refusing to eat. Finally got it unclogged but feared for the onset of mastitis.

Oh that sounds terrible vineyard! Poor girls. Glad to hear things have improved, hate it when my boys are sick, feel so helpless xx

Oh no. Sounds like you have really been through it this week.. Hope girls are back to full health soon.

Yuck - poor you and girls. There is nothing worse than d&v in babies/toddlers - especially when they both get it. DOes your nursery not operate a 48hr policy, where kids have to be clear of vomiting and diarrhoea for a full 48hrs before they're allowed back? It might help prevent these bugs from going round quite so much.

Hope you have a much deserved "well spell" from now on hun x

Wow what a terrible week, glad the girls are feeling better..

I know that stinks! We had a stomach thing go through our house, I had the two babies who were 8 months old at the time throwing up, and so was the 2yo..man that was tough!

EEKKK awful - the boys had D+V before christmas and oh had it too (I managed to avoid) they only had it for 48 hours though and both together xxxx

24 hours.

Urgh, it's bad enough with just one doing it, never mind two! Although Teddy complained so much about me puking that I thought maybe he was going to punch his way out of me at one point. Thank heaven's you're through the other side!
