Has anybody been taken to court about contact between your child and the childs dad?

Hi just wondering, as my FOB has been threatening to take me to court for contact with the baby, just wondered if any of you have gone through the courts what kind of agreements they come to, for the dad having contact?x

I haven't but a friend did and one day the idiot didnt show for court and he lost all rights to his daughter!

She just said that she was willing to allow him to have her one day in the week and one day at the weekend and once they were happy with those terms she would consider overnights but he blew it. Now he has no contact!

i have for my oldest son and his sperm donor demanded access went thru all the legal process and listen to his bullshit of "i'm a good dad" blah blah the courts gave him weekend access (my son was 2 1/2 at the time) so that was all good til i found out he was hitting my son for weting his pants while running to the toilet and i rang him up and have a word with him coz after that day my son didnt want to go to his place he said fine no smacking a week later was xmas he had him for half a day xmas day thru to boxing day lunch time he rang me up and said come get kian ( my son) as i cant be bothered with him anymore, so went picked him up leo (sperm donor) said dont bother bringing him back anymore i said ok fine he hasnt seen him since that boxing day kian was 3 1/2 and now hes almost 10....but that was in nz lol

Can i ask why he is taking you to court? could you not come up with a plan together? Does he want more access than is reasonable? x

Not been in your situation as such, but I was just thinking - have you ever told FOB that he can't see your LO? If not, then the contact would be in your presence. He would definitely NOT be able to take LO overnight for a fair while anyway. I wouldn't worry - my ex wanted my little boy overnight from 15 weeks old, my solicitor told him no way.
