Hey ladies, the doc has just told me that the blood tests I had done last week had a high lh level,it was done on cd15 so he said either it was ovulation OR pcos and have to wait for a scan in 3 weeks now,I was just wondering if anyone has conceived naturally with pcos as this would all be new to me and my cd3 and 21 bloods came back normal so I do ovulate so not sure what would stop u conceiving xx

My SIL has conceived naturally twice with PCOS.
The first time she was on BCP, but wasnt taking it very well (missing pills here and there).
The second time she was trying and got pregnant in less than 6 months

Thank u hun, that's quite reasuring,I started thinking I'd never get the chance if it is pcos as I've heard fs won't help unless ur ur ideal body weight and that's a looooong way to go for me xx

I totally understand.
If I have to be an ideal weight I will never get help because its impossible for me to not be overweight (according to BMI) and my doctor agrees with me....based on my bone size and structure and muscle mass.

I'm naturally big so will never be ideal but I'm just hoping if there is something wrong then maybe they can't refuse u,here's hoping lol

i conceived with pcos, so yes i would say you have every chance hun, fingers crossed for u xxx

i concieved when i was 17 with no help and absolutely no meds, wasnt even trying, didnt know i had pcos then. i was due to start bcp (thank god it was too late, wouldnt change DD for the world!!)
but back then my method of preventing was the erm.... pull out method
struggling now but hey its not impossible

hey there - I concieved naturally with pcos in feburary (I am 32), but had a mmc, but the fact I concienved is apparently positive.

I have had PCOS since I was 17 and had been told by many doctors that I wouldn't be able to conceive. At least not without a huge amount of help.

I was seeing a fertility doctor and the day before the appointment in which I would have started Clomid, I did a pregnancy test. It was positive and I am now 18 weeks pregnant. We had been trying for years and years, so it was a wonderful suprise!

There are 3 factors which I think possibly may have had a part in this.
1. I lost 42lb in weight although I am still obese
2. I started eating meat again
3. I had a dye scan which flushed out my tubes

Please hang in there as you never know, it may happen naturally, even if it takes years.

Just wanted to say, I hope I didn't sound like a smug bitch or anything on that last post.

I know from trying desperately for 5 years that being infertile is a nightmare, and also how annoying and upsetting it is to hear 'advice' from people who are pregnant/find it easy to get pregnant/etc.

I have PCOS and endometriosis and was told I would probably never conceive so my heart truly goes out to those who are still trying.

All I can say is that if the miracle does end up happening, then babies from women who have really suffered to have them will be so loved and wanted.
