has anyone ever had their windscreen repaired?

I have noticed a small chip in my windscreen, it's quite tiny but needs attention.

I've been looking at carglass (the same company as autoglass in the uk) and they say it's "usually" free.

Just wondering if anyone who has had it done, did you have to pay an excess?

yes we had to do it - usually your insurance will cover it and the excess for a chip is around £10 and for a proper crack its normally around £80 - book appointment and they will take care of the insurance side of things but check what companies your insurance covers you for
