Statistically, it's said that 3 out of 4 women will conceive on clomid. That leaves 25% or 2-3 out of 10 who sadly will not conceive in a six-month run of clomid.

Were you one of them? And was it found out WHY?
I'm just curious......and I feel that knowing what to look for or expect on worst case scenarios is helpful in being prepared.

I'd like to know too.

Oh and those statistics sound good to me.

The statistics really ARE good! I don't think clomid would be so widely used and relied on if it had a low success rate. And of course, I'm thinking positive and just waiting for my BFP that I know will come.

I was Ov'ing on my own but we hit the 1 year mark and doctor gave clomid to increase the quality of the egg/s. Guess what, My regular ovulation dissapeared and when clomid was meant to give mo good eggs it gave me no ovulation. I had my first anovulatory cycle with clomid. Doctor didn't monitor me in the first cycle. Just told me to go back if no BFP in 2 months.
I didn't have a decent AF, one day of red flow and then spotting for days. I took the second round of clomid and at CD 10, I was still spotting, went to doctor to see what's wrong and he did a scan which showed that my ovaries were over stimulated. There were a lot of eggs in the ovaries left from last cycle.
So, clomid is not for everyone I think. If I were you I'd ask my doctor to monitor me with scans to avoid this kind of thing.
good luck xx
