i was wondering how many woman have gone to have a natural birth following a c-section... i had to have a c-section and im not sure whether to have a natural birth this time round... what were your experiences?

My sister had a natural birth after CS but currently i was debating to have natural birth as i done Cs with my second son but my sister told me to have another one as her scar had started to tear when she was pushing but she was lucky the baby was small that why.

im scared of my scar opening, im not sure what to do this time round! my baby would be big (first one was 9lbs 6oz) and apparently the second is always bigger! no idea what to do x

I'm currently 5 weeks and 4 days with my third, my first two were c sections, this one will be a a natural homebirth. VBAC is possible, the likelyness of someones scar actually rupturing is so low, about less then one out of 100 women tear. It all depends on how long you wait between pregnancies, how big the baby is, and how your incision was made (horizontal vs vertical)

my baby was 9lbs 6oz when she was born so our next one will be a whopper! x

hello,i had a natural birth after caesarean and it was amazing. really good experience. and my second baby was smaller than my first. xx

I had a vbac and was happy that I did. My babies were the same size....one ounce in the difference.

I'd be interested in this as well as im debating what to do this time round its so difficult, would love a natural but sooo scared of rupture.

natural with my second daughter after one c section, was the best experience i will ever go through would love to do it again, but i dont want to risk having a third section :/ (had second section with son 9 months ago) x

Hi
I'm in the same position, I really don't know what to do!!!! I fell pregnant again 11 weeks after having a csec with twins. Am I silly to even consider VBAC? None of the midwives I have seen have even mentioned this bar one who said I would be expected to give birth naturally this time, but reading the risks I am totally petrified :( xx

i know how you all feel! my partner and i are TTC and im not sure what to do this time round! id love to have a natural birth but im scared incase of scar rupture, and im also scared that id end up going for another emergency c-section! (my daughter was 9lbs 6oz at birth, wasnt progressing and she wasnt 'coming down' because she was so big) and they do say your second is bigger! i would hate to have another c-section because i was in pain for weeks, my scar became infected, i had indigestion for weeks (lost two and a half stone, wasnt complaining!) and i couldnt get comfy in bed to sleep because of pain:( its such a hard decision! x

Hi Kimberley

My csec was a really positive experience and the pain only lasted a week and a bit so that's what makes me favour going for it. If I'd had an infection like you hun, I'd prob be weighing it up as I'm sure that was awful for you ooooooh painful :(

I will have enough help if I have the csec as OH will be on paternity, his parents are retired and can come over and stay and my Mum will take a week off work too once they have to go home.

I didn't realise the mortality rate for baby was as high as 40% if a scar ruptures, I guess I should stay off Google!! It drove me mad yesterday with the panic :(

I'm 30 weeks and I can't believe the midwife has just mentioned this to me yesterday!! I didn't even know what VBAC meant! xx

my labour was horrible, the amount of drugs they were trying to give me and the amount of blood they took from me! was an awful experience and ended in emergency csection but id love to go through labour again! i think this time round i'll just go for a section, get it over and done with! knowing my luck i would end up rupturing anyway, better safe than sorry! x

I had a section with baby number 1 , baby number two was a vaginal birth and baby number 3 was a section... By far my natural delivery was the best. Section number 2 with baby number 3 was horrific!!!!

I had a dream (nightmare!) last night that i was trying VBAC and the nurse gave me induction meds by accident and i was so terrified they were all worried and saying i needed a section asap but noone was actually doing anything for me, so scary i think i may have a planned section after all LOL.

ahh apparently pregnancy can meddle with your dreams, LOL! x
