Hi All,
This is my first post on here so thank you for taking time to read it. My OH has had his second semen analysis results back yesterday which are as below in black. The other set of results which were done 4 weeks ago are in the brackets.:
Sperm semen volume: 3ml (1.5ml)
Sperm Density:31 10*6/ml (108 10*6/ml)
Total normal & motile sperm: 10% (25%)
Rapid Progressive Sperm: 0% (8%)
Slow progressive sperm: 10% (17%)
Non-progressive sperm: 11% (4%)
Non-motile sperm: 79% (71%)
We're devastated and also unsure as to why the two set of results are so different. I had a laparoscopy for mild endo 3 weeks ago and always thought it was me who was the one to blame for our infertility, seemingly not so. Has anyone had these sorts of results and still gotten pregnant or is it impossible?
My consultant emailed me today saying that the count on both set of results were well above the average, it was the quality that was the problem. He has given my OH a list of vitamins and supplements to take and said he expects to see an improvement within 10-12 weeks. Has anyone had any experience of this? I'm not expecting a miracle but any improvement would be great.
Thankyou
xx
