Has he become more efficient?

Hi there,

My son is 8 weeks old and up until about a week ago he would nurse on one side for between 20-30 mins then on the other side for between 5-15 mins.
But he is now only taking around 10mins each side.

His stools are still ok and he seems satisfied enough. I was just wondering has he just become more efficient as he has grown??

8 weeks sounds about the time when they are more efficient! They have learnt all they need to and use it now!

As long as he is satisfied I wouldn't worry x

Yes they definitely become more efficient with time! Makes it easier for us mama's too!

Yes I would say he has become a pro!
My daughter would nurse for 25 mins one side at birth then at 6 weeks started doing 10 minutes on each side and now does 5 mins each side so a total of 10 mins every 2-3 hours and is gaining weight really well! She is a little chubster now and has some cracking fat legs!
