Just came back from my 25 week appointment with midwife.
My baby is measuring exactly to dates - 25 weeks today. His head is already in a position :) and the heart beat is just as strong. Midwife was very pleasant this time and I've really enjoyed the experience. I'm glad to know that my son is growing just perfectly and that my pregnancy is just as good :) Ah...I feel blessed! :):baby::thumbup::cloud9:

Always nice to hear its goin smoothly, well done x

Congrats, I also had mine today and everything was looking good! yay.

Yay, that is always such exciting news. So happy for you!!

Thanks :) I'd like to wish this type of appointment to everyone :)

Aww I was wondering what they do at this appointment mine is on Thursday - so how do they measure up and see that the head is down etc? So glad it went well for you :) x

mines tomorrow to. hoping everything is good. got a feeling baby hasnt moved yet head down yet, stil getting kicked in the same place since week 18.. we will see x

She'd measure you with the tape - top to bottom of your uterus.
And she could feel the head in the womb by touching my bump. I tried doing it in home-no chance :D good luck at your appt ;)

Best of luck! :))

Sorry to sound stupid but how do they know all this, my 25 week scan was the quickest out of them all and she even asked us if we wanted to hear the heartbeat.....As if we wouldn't?? I find myself losing more and more faith in the NHS as time passes. I wish we could go private via BUPA for pregnancy..................... x

Well my midwife was very keen on checking everything this time round (my 16 week appt was a disaster, lasted not more than 5min, checked urine and BP and thats it). She had a feel of my growing uterus, measured fundal hight with a tape, listen to the HB, took BP, checked urine, wrote loads on my notes and even gave me a DVD on breastfeeding :) maybe you're not so lucky with your midwifery unit, maybe it's the lack of midwives in your area
