I love the name ava its my daughters name.

Why the spelling Merie is jr a family name? I think ava merie goes lovely but I've only ever seen the spelling Marie x

My mums name is Merie said the same as marie it's just the way it's spelled lol she is Merie Helen ann my original name when I was pregnant first time for a girl has Hannah may-ann but have decided against using it this time and Ava is just a lovely name and I feel Merie flows well as appose to Helen or ann imagine ... Ava Ann lol!

Ahhh I see and yes I think Merie is a beautiful name too and is fab as a middle name! My littlest lo has Marie as her middle name

Beautiful name! And i love the spelling Merie, Ava Merie goes lovely together, when i named my daughter (Avaleigh but Ava for short) i kept calling her ava Marie for some reason even though her middle names arent anything like Marie lol i think its because they just sound right together

I love the name Ava - one of my favorite names. I would pair it with something more unique though since Ava is so common. I would bet there are a million Ava Marie's in the world. At least the alternative spelling (Merie) adds some uniqueness though I guess.

I love the name Ava - one of my favorite names. I would pair it with something more unique though since Ava is so common. I would bet there are a million Ava Marie's in the world. At least the alternative spelling (Merie) adds some uniqueness though I guess.

I personally ain't a fan of all this faffy unique names my wee boy has a strong name Daniel Alexander so I love that my daughter can carry her granny's first name as this is my mums only granddaughter as I'm her only child and won't be having anymore

It does not bother me in the least I don't want some silly and crazy unique name like "Nutella" lol some unique names are totally ridiculous so for me a strong name like Ava Merie suits me perfectly! It may be a common name but she will be far from common ahha it's also not as common as one would believe where I live so for that fact it's perfect

I agree I'm not for the super unique/silly names either. But I grew up having a very common name and hated it because of its popularity. I don't want my children to have that problem where there are 2-3 other kids in their class with the same name. So I have given my children not made up silly names but names that aren't main stream.

Opposite totally unique name only one other and she's much much older and i hated it with a passion! don't want to do that to my wee lassy love a good non made up strong name that may be other Ava's or Ava Merie about but none will be like her !
