Hello All

Must confess, I havn't been on here for ages and ages....

Noah (who has been in fluff since 4 weeks old) has suddenly started to do super soaker power jet wash type wee's at night LOL and for the past few nights he has woken the house up crying because he has leaked BIG time and we have had to strip him (PJ's, nappy) and bedding off and re do in the middle of the night *yawn*

I have no idea why  any pointers would be very welcomed!

I have no idea what else we can put him in?

He generally uses a baby beehind with all inserts in so he has a squillion layers of hemp/bamboo plus a seperate wrap, which has always worked beautifully for our heavy wetter.

Nappies don't need stripping, wraps are nice and big but we make sure its a good fit and that all bits of the behind are tucked in, nothing has changed and he isn't drinking anymore than normal.....

Throw suggestions at me!

What happens at night is that wee is held while you sleep, and then when you wake up, you have a huge flood. (Think about yourself when you wake up in the morning!) As babies get older they fall into a more adult sleep pattern, and will probably be in a sound sleep for longer, and so have more in their bladder when they wake, so it floods, as the nappy can't absorb quickly enough, especially if it's already been wet early in the night. This could be a sign that he's getting ready to toilet train, as obviously his bladder is now big enough to hold a large amount.

I have a couple of suggestions, but I'm going to PM you them - don't want to break any rules!

Try something that absorbs quickly, like a Terry booster. Hemp, microfibre and bamboo is very absorbent, but tends to do it slowly rather than Terry which absorbs quickly. Much handier for those flood type wees which can overwhelm slow absorbing fabrics. Little lamb Terry boosters work nicely for us, but I think any old kind will do.

Think I'll pop a MF insert on top of all the baby behind inserts to see if this will absorb his power wee quickly and give the bamboo chance to catch up!

We use MF in all his daytime nappies so have plenty lying around.

Little Pants - thanks for your reply and PM, Noah is 18 months and we don't plan on tackling potty training just yet.... quite fancy getting him walking unaided first LOL!

Re: PM, we have tried fleece and wool, neither work for Noah at night, that's why we had to move to big wraps (or as I affectionately call them, his plastic pants!) We have been using fluff since Noah was 4 weeks old and have tried and tested most things and know pretty much what does and doesn't work for him, think this is why I was stumped by this new leakage prob :)
