HCG 2579. Only sac seen.

Just got back from hospital. My first hcg was 2579. Do any of you know whether I should've seen more at my ultrasound with numbers like that?? I thought that once the hcg got over 2000, a yolk sac at least, should be seen. We only saw a sac.

I've tried to google it but I'm not getting anywhere with that. The only info I found was that over 2000, "something" should be seen, but it didn't clarify what!!

Not sure sorry but at 6 weeks it may still be slightly early - are they scanning you again?

I'm waiting for the call with todays hcg results and then they'll arrange for me to go back in for another scan.

It's just a waiting game now I'm afraid.

I hate the waiting game - I find it allows you too much time to imagine every possible outcome.

it's still early, you don't see much on early scans anyway.

i had scans at 6+2 & 8+4
first time we saw a sac and a fine stripe that was aparently baby.
but in all my early scans i've had i have never even seen the yolk sac.
it worried me too, but at 8+4 there was a blob and blob had a heartbeat, but no yolk sac,
maybe it depends on the machine settings how clear they see things?
my FS settings are pretty dark compared to most i see on here
