hCG doubled every 24 hours - Is this Normal?

I just found out I am pregnant on 3/4/2015. Hcg level is 638. I went back for another blood test 2 days later on 3/6/2015 and my Hcg level is 2523! So basically it doubled in 24 hours. I read that Hcg usually doubled every 48 hours or so. I conceived via IVF and I implanted only 1 embryo so I think the chance of twins is not high.

Did this happen to everyone? Is this normal? I read it high HCG could mean a molar pregnancy. I googled and I don't really have the symptoms of molar pregnancy. My RE doesn't seem to worry for now. I had a miscarriage in January so naturally I worry about everything this pregnancy.

Some people gain hcg fast, but even with one embryo you still have a chance for identical twins. For now its a wait and see game as its too early to tell.

I worried about molar a lot too with my extremely high HCG. But, as you can see from my signature, there was another reason for it

Did you have unprotected sex this month? Is it possible you had a natural conception in addition to your implanted? I am not sure at which cell stage an embryo splits into twins, but I do know that fertility drugs somehow increase the odds of identicals happening.

Everyone is different and it's can be totally normal. Mine rose fast and got high quickly. Congratulations!
