Ok,

In light of another thread about HPT sensitive, I'd love to see what everyone's HCG levels were before they miscarried. I'm wondering if that correlates to how long it takes to get a BFN.

Mine was 78,000 then dropped down to 54,000 right before my D&C. Still testing positive as it was only 10 days ago.

What about you? What was your level and how long did it take to go down?

Mine was 4100 the day after I started bleeding, then 600 two days later and then 2 a fortnight later. Did a pregnancy test in the week before the last two tests and it was negative. So mine went down very quickly.

I was around 6 weeks when the pregnancy stopped, how far along were you?

Good thread! I wish I had this information when I was waiting for my numbers to drop.

My levels were 1,900 when I started to miscarry/bleed. They dropped to 400 in 48 hours. It then took another 2 weeks for them to drop to 0.

That IS quick! I was almost 10 weeks but the baby stopped growing at 6.5 weeks. Thanks for replying.

Sil - Thanks for adding the numbers. I hope can get a lot of number to compare.

Mine went back to zero within two weeks but mine was natural at 5 weeks or so. No d&c

Levels were under 8000 when I found out we lost the baby (8+5, measuring 6+1). Had d&c 7 days later. 13 days post d&c, still had a super super squinter positive on a $ store test. 15 days post d&c, took about 15 minutes to show up, but is still a bit pink. But opks are starting to progress today, so test should be totally negative within the next day or two because my body is considering ovulating in the next week probably. ...I think. lol.

Geez, mine was so high. No wonder why I felt like crap!

Mine was about 86,000 a few weeks before my D&C (with my latest miscarriage), I know it rose after that because I was getting sicker and it was a partial molar pregnancy (hcg levels pretty much skyrocket). I still got my period 30 days after the D&C. And my # was 3 at 6 weeks post D&C.

I didn't test out so not really sure how long it took to get to negative. But I seem to ovulate even with hcg in my system (happened in previous miscarriages also) so I don't find it necessary to test out.

awwww i dont know my HCG levels as they dont test them here... but i tested yesterday 15 days afer d and c- was 11 week 6 days at d and c and baby was 8 weeks 5 days..
tested negative yesterday first try- was pretty shocked as i thought may still be there but happy so i can TTC

Mine were atypical, but here you go.
MC began August 17
Baby/amnio/placenta lost August 27
55,000 September 10 (first blood test)
32,000 a few days later
15,000 September 22
D&C September 25 (for 2nd amniotic sac + placenta (blighted ovum))
300+ on October 10 (2 weeks post D&C)
69 October 22
21 November 5
11 about 1 week later (at this point, they said I don't need to come back for further testing)

tl;dr - Still coming up with hcg in system 7 weeks post-D&C, 12+ weeks post MC. AF (I THINK that's what it was) hit while still positive, though, because my body hates me.

Thanks Dill.

It's crazy how slow it goes at the end!

You already know mine pretty much but I'll share for anyone else who is interested

October 15 (miscarriage) 86,000
October 30 - 307
November 5 - 113
November 12- 42
November 21 - 10
November 25 - 7

Obviously came down really quick the first couple of weeks, and was dragging the last month. Super annoying. I'm sure it's all gone by now but my doctor wants to check again next week to be sure.

I can't remember what my levels were with the m/c that I had blood testing done but I do know it's been an average 2-3 weeks after a loss for my hpts to go negative with my natural miscarriages. Those were all between 7 and 9+4 weeks and I did notice if it was a blighted ovum, my levels never rose that much and dropped faster. With my 14 week loss, we found out at 14+1 that baby had gone within the last few days (measuring 13.5-14 weeks so really recent). I had a D&C at 15+1 because things weren't happening and my hpts were negative 9 days later. It's different for every pregnancy and every woman.

Ill contribute when I have more data. So far I only know 4 days post mc my numbers were 845. I forgot to ask what it was on the day and tbh I'm not even sure they were able to check. The ER Dr only ordered a cbc and I don't think bhcg is included on that. The mw rang down to get it added but may have been too late idk. Anyway tomorrow when I get today results I'll ask about levels on the day.
I was 10+3 but the sac measured 7+4 and baby around 6 weeks and I didn't have hcg checked at any other point in pregnancy.
I know today result won't be negative yet as I got a faint line yesterday but I'm expecting it to be at or less than 100.

Thankful to hear your story. So many women say so definitively "you can't ovulate with hcg in your system" or "you have to stop bleeding for four weeks before AFcomes" etc. But I know it is different for some women.

If you don't mind, how long from when you stopped bleeding until AF came?

For me, it was almost exactly one month from when I stopped bleeding after my D&C before AF hit. I still had HCG in my system.

I 'bled' (mostly light bleeding/spotting) for 10 days after my D&C. AF came 20 days later. And I know for sure I ovulated with hcg in my system before based on blood tests for both hcg and progesterone that clearly showed a progesterone surge even with a bit of hcg. You definitely CAN ovulate! It's different for everyone it's true. But it's not impossible.

Well I can't help you collect data it seems as I checked with EPAS today and they don't have an oiginal hcg # for me to go off from the day I miscarried. Either Emergency never sent it over to them or didn't check my hcg just CBC.

Its down to 91 yesterday though, 11dpmc

I didn't have a miscarriage I had an ectopic with surgery at 5 weeks 1 day. Level at 5 weeks was 716. 3 weeks past surgery I had positive hpt. Er last night said level is 186 and they seem convinced it's a new pregnancy due to level and returning symptoms. I'm so confused with this whole process.
