HCG levels 2500 @5wks

I had brown spotting, went to the ER, they took my blood... My HCG levels are at 2500... is that an okay number for 5 weeks? I dont know much about HCG, I just know its supposed to double every few days.

I found this chart on Americanpregnancy.org. Seems like hcg levels can vary widely.

Guideline to hCG levels during pregnancy:

hCG levels in weeks from LMP (gestational age)* :

3 weeks LMP: 5 – 50 mIU/ml
4 weeks LMP: 5 – 426 mIU/ml
5 weeks LMP: 18 – 7,340 mIU/ml
6 weeks LMP: 1,080 – 56,500 mIU/ml
7 – 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 – 229,000 mIU/ml
9 – 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 – 288,000 mIU/ml
13 – 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 – 254,000 mIU/ml
17 – 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 – 165,400 mIU/ml
25 – 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 – 117,000 mIU/ml
Non-pregnant females: <5.0 mIU/ml
Postmenopausal females: <9.5 mIU/ml

That is a wide range!! I guess.mine is in the middle... I guess I just have to wait until my next draw to really know if things are okay..

Omgosh we have exactly the same story! I was at the ER last night and my bloods are 2460 today.. So scary isn't it! My spotting was very light and brownish in color my doctor was not in the least phased and said everything looks great! Feels better to see someone in the same position! Goodluck x

Burns, that is exactly what happened to me! How far along are you? My doctor didnt really seem concerned but he didnt assure me that it wasnt likely a miscarriage either. He just offered me an ultrasound and explained that it wouldnt prove anything because I am so early. I declined since I am scheduled for one on Thursday anyway. At first he said my hcg levels are on the "low side" then he looked at the calender and realized im "only 5 weeks" and my hcg levels are "okay". Not really too reassuring. :/
Are you still bleeding at all? I have a tiny amount of light light light brown on the tp when I wipe sometimes. Are you cramping or anything? I am off and on... its not severe but its still freaking me out :/

I am sorry you are going through this too... It feels good to have a friend that knows how I am feeling though.
