HCG levels - your experiences and opinions

Ginasgemz - I think that ignorance is bliss and wish I didn't even know I was pregnant so that I would stop analysing and panicing over every little spot or twinge.

i totally agree with you!!! i think i found out way tooo early. i tell my husband everyday that in our next pregancy i'm going to miss two periods before i check...i'm worrying about everything...its driving me nuts.

I read that same study and felt comforted. Did my beta this morning and they call with results by mid dayish so I will keep you ladies posted.

hey, im also waititn to have another blood test on monday to make sure my hcg levels are rising,

i havent a clue how far gone i am because i had the implant out 12 weeks ago, i havent had a perios since, i got my results back 2day after havin blood tests on monday & my hcg was 854
the doctor thinks i am 2-4 weeks pregnant.

on june 23 i took a hpt it was postive ..had hcg done same day it was 923
do you think i am 12dpo or more like 17/18....
june 24 levels were 1500


any info would help

Those are good levels tarab and it is rising nicely - usually they only check every 48h so they checked you sooner and the rise then would be less than doubling. Your levels if you were only 17/18dpo are quite high which is also good.

But your posts contradict each other - was it 17/18dpo or was it the 17th or 18th of June. Were you 12dpo or 17/18dpo? I am a little confused - did you have tests done two days in a row or 6 days apart? Sorry just making sure I am saying the right thing by checking what you said.

hey sorry about that... me and hubby where on vacation when i think i conceived,,i think i was 18/17 dpo)... and the first draw was 923... i was trying to write in my baby book ....haha)_ all this info! my 6 week and 2 days ultrasound and my ten week ultrasound was only off by two days! what technology can do hu! anyways i was sure i O'd around the 4th,, so i think it all falls into place! be blessed keep in touch..also she gave me due date of 2-27-11 which happens to be my first year anniversary! on 10 weeks ultrasound the edd was 2-25-11 but she didnt change date..

Do you only get levels checked normally if there is a problem?

starmoon, i thinks its far more of a States thing... both times i have asked for them the Dr and Midwife looked at me funny.

If you want some just ask for a quantative HCG.. you'll need to have 2 x lots of bloods taken 48 hours apart.


I just got my first lot back 8000 @ 5w ... get my next lot back Friday hopefully, hope they double!!!

Have my scan on 16 August. They have given me due date of 27 Feb but I know this us wrong because it doesn't match my lmp and I really don't know how they come up with this date, it should be a week later almost, I am sure .

I only had mine done because I've had a lot of bleeding and spotting. My local EPU want to keep an eye on me for ectopic. I should have a scan soon to make sure everythings ok... hcg levels seem ok though I think?
4 weeks / 14dpo - 263
4+2 / 16dpo - 778
5+2 weeks - 13,000 approx

I just really want the early scan now!!

well thats the same due date as me..2-27-11 which happens to be my one year anniversary!.. but they gave you that without an ultrasound? i had two u/s one first one was 2-27 and the next one 2-25 we didnt change date,,, but thats pretty accurate...keep in touch or u can send me an email
