HCG shot and ovulation help needed!

Hi girls

I took my HCG shot on Thurs evening. FS told me to BD on Thursday and Friday. I'm assuming that's because I was supposed to ovulate yesterday?

Today's Saturday - about 48 hrs after the HCG shot and I still don't have any ovulation pains. I usually get (really) sore boobs when I ovulate and I know that for sure because my last cycle on Clomid I defínitely ovulated (based on my blood tests) and my boobs were pretty sore.

However, 48 hrs after my HCG shot I still have no sore boobs AND no temperature rise.

Does anybody know when you ovulate after the HCG shot? I'm on Clomid too. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

cherrios....my FS told me to bed 12 and 36 hours after my shot. I too did not get any pains from o'ing at all. i am still in my 2ww....i go back to the doc on the 15 to have a blood preggy test done. hth

Thanks. Did you get a temperature rise?? And do u usually have ovulation pains without the hCG shot??? All the best for your test!

My FS told me that I would ovulate 36 hours after the shot. I went in for IUI 34 hours after the shot and she said it was perfect timing based on how my cervix looked. I usually have ov pains but didn't this time. hope this helps!

Thanks for sharing your experience! May I ask if you got a temperature rise too? That's the main thing that's concerning me right now.

Unfortunately I was not temp charting this time around so I really can't help you with that. Sorry

i do not temp either, so i too cant help with that. This is the first time ( and last) i will do that shot. I have had little bits of pain here and there over that 48 hour time frame but nothing major. I know i did O b/c of the change in my CM. Outside of that, i am letting nature take its course. HTH

Thanks dear. I don't usually temp either. But I only started temping when I used Clomid. And my first cycle of Clomid I had a noticeable temperature rise - without the HCG shot. And now with the HCG shot, there's no temperature rise. Hmmm......
