My son climbed out of his cot around 4 am when he woke up for a feed. I was on my way to get him and heard a big thud. I am not sure how he got out exactly but he was OK luckily. I am lowering the cot to its lowest setting but that isnt much different from the setting its currently on. What else can I do to make sure he doesnt escape again? I heard that sleeping bags help and I will try one but not sure if he will go in it. Any other ideas? I would really prefer not to have to put him in a toddler bed for another year.

My daughter is 16 months and she recently started escaping from her bed but only in the mornings, make sure theres no teddies in his cot, we took all Gabriellas out as she used them to stand on. Unfortunately for us after a couple of weeks she did it with no teddies and cot was on lowest point! We have now put her in toddler bed and she doesnt get out! She loves it! Sorry if not much help x

my 2 have never managed to get themselves out of their cot but i dont think it will be long and my yougest will figure it out - he will be a stuntman when he grows up i swear!!!!

the only thing you can actually do is put lo in a proper bed.

i have the same problem but my lo is only 7 months so way too young for a bed she cant quite get out yet but is up the side all the time
