just wanted to say, huge huge :hugs: you're doing wonderfully. you could possible try a soother/dummy, not much advice from me i'm afraid :hugs: x

dont feel guilty hun at the end of the day ur doing whats best for ur baby be it breast or formula maybe doing both may suit you more xx

I think this might be a growth spurt thing. I believe it happens around two weeks and it will settle in a day or so but do tell your hv or doc as it could be an ear infection which is also very common and very normal. Hugs.

Sounds like the 2 week (ish) growth spurt. :hugs: Dont worry about a bit of formula honey - if it keeps you sane then it can only be a good thing.
Have you got some Lanisoh cream for your nips? Make sure you go topless or at least have that boob out (yes you will need to make sure the window cleaner isnt due round ;) ) so that the air can help with the healing.

You sound like you're doing a great job under the circumstances hun. I think that 2 week spurt is the worst of all of them. Hang in there hun and in the meantime if do what you need to get through and dont beat yourself up about it. x

Oh, honey!

It will end... he cant cry forever.... just hang in there... and get yourself as many hugs as possible!

Jasper went through an AWFUL patch of screaming for boobie and then screaming while feeding and it just went on and on.

It was so bad.

Jasper started up around 3-4 weeks and settled down after an awful fortnight.

To get Jasper to settle I actually kept an exact record of the time and duration of each sleep and feed and also the time and duration of his crying, I even marked in details like dirty nappies and bath time, times we went out, everything that I could think of that might effect him - and that act alone kind of gave me the confidence and insight that I was able to flow with him. I worked out where in the day he was getting tired and where I was over-feeding him, when he was getting over stimulated and so on.

I dont know if that'll help for you, but it changed (and saved) my life!
