Heard the heartbeat!

I went to my first appointment today and heard the baby's heartbeat! It was so amazing and definitely feels more real now!

Ah fabulous!! I found my baby's heartbeat on a home doppler last week and it was so lovely to hear, especially with only having my first scan due next week. Congratulations...we should have similar EDDs

Thanks! My EDD is Aug 30th! I feel like getting a Doppler now, I would be obsessed with it though! Haha

I have an at home doppler and I thought I would get obsessed too. I've kind of made a commitment with myself to only do it every few days otherwise I know it would get out of control!

was it just hearing the heart beat or did they do an ultrasound too?

It was just with a Doppler at my OB office, I had an early ultrasound at 8wks but didn't hear it then, only saw the flicker. I'm not getting another ultrasound until 20 weeks so this gave me some peace of mind!
