Hi folks, I went to the maternity unit today to get checked over I had decreased movement. They hooked me up to a trace and monitored the baby and myself for over half an hour. Baby's heartrate was fine but mine was going over 100! It eventually averaged out at around 90. The midwife said this was fine but I have been feeling like my heartrate is very fast and I never thought that it would be over 100.

Does anyone else think their heartrate seems faster since they become pregnant?

Thanks

I've never had a heart rate less than 100 at any of my doctors appointments since being pregnant! But it seems pretty normal for my body. I don't feel overly tired or out of breath or like my heart is pounding so it hasn't been a problem.

You could be low in iron. Have you had your bloods done
recently?

Mine's been going up to over 150! But I've been diagnosed with supraventricular tachycardia so that's why. It's generally 115 when I'm resting and 135+ when I'm up and about. I feel quite rough with pounding/racing heart, especially now that I'm 33 weeks and breathless from baby as well as fast heartrate. Is your blood pressure low? Because that can also cause your heart to work harder and beat faster. My bp was 92/54 at my hospital check on Friday :/
