Heartbeat Theory

For those of you that know the gender of your baby, did the heartbeat theory ring true?

Under 140 = boy, over 140 = girl?

Having my gender scan today, so just wondering.

Its hard to google to find the actual link... but yes this is completely true stat.....but only during labour. So during labour boys ha lower average heartbeat than girls. The rest of the time it doesn't make a differen

No my baby's HB corresponded more with the boys but it's a girl :/ lol I try not to believe to much of these things like if you're carrying all front then it's a boy. I'm all belly and again it's a girl haha! x

It was true for us but I am still not sure how accurate it is overall!

My dd's heartbeat was always much faster than this one which is 135-40. I still think I'm having another girl though!!

My girls are high they have been between 160-180! x

My sons was high one time, low the next time, high etc...

During labour though he was asleep/low heart rate the entire time! He woke up at the beginning but for the next 20odd hours was far too comfortable!

always high 140's and 150's and its a boy.

It was true with both my pregnancies… but I'm sure that's just a fluke. Even the ultrasound tech when I went to my private gender scan started with "that's a girl" judging by the bpm.. before we looked to see if there were girly bits or boy bits.

My son's was always around the 140 mark whereas this one is usually around the 170-180 mark. I think it's another boy though. I find out on Saturday, so will update then.

My mum told me that with one of my older brothers she kept being told he was a girl as he had a high heart rate, so it didn't work for her.

As for labour, my son's heart rate was really high. So high in the end that they nearly considered c-section and they checked his oxygen levels by taking a blood sample from the top of his head. Luckily it was within the normal range, so they then did an assisted delivery with forceps to get him out in a hurry.

Well - it was true for me! Had my gender scan this afternoon and we are team pink!
