Im only 13 weeks and I already have heartburn daily. With my first I didnt get it until third trimester. Im a little concerned it has started so soon (Im not even showing yet so I doubt it's baby pushing on my tummy). I never get heartburn when Im not preggos. I seem to remember fresh fruit helped with my first, but it's not cutting it this time. Im just wondering if anyone else has this, and if you've found a way to reduce it?

When I had gastritis years ago one tsp. of baking soda in water did wonders to soothe it. And unlike antacids, small amounts of baking soda won't reduce your stomach acid and wreck your digestion. It just temporarily neutralizes acid.

I had heartburn like feeling around week 13 and 14 and a bit after. It decreased a bit after I started eating smaller meals. It came back last night but thankfully a tums seemed to take care of it for the most part (tums didn't work a few weeks ago).

Thanks! Tums seem to work for me for now, I just was wondering if there was a way to prevent it instead of just covering up the symotoms. That is good to know yours died down Starlight, hopefully mine will too! I will try the smaller meals and see how that works. Thanks for the baking soda idea too Marumi, I will def give that a go too!
