Heavy lifting and spotting

Hi guys. Not been in here in a week as its been a bit manic but I'm in bed now (scared!) so have some time.

I'm really worried.. Decided I would clear the cupboard out and moved a box that I obviously shouldn't. It was quite heavy and I pulled my belly (got quite uncomfortable but has happened before) so I went to sit down and rest. 10 min later I noticed some spotting :( was slightly brown n stringy.

This was only half hour or so ago. Can't see any more but I'm now really worried :(

I had a scan a few days ago dated me 8w 3d (today) saw the heart beat.
The thing that is also scaring me is I haven't felt sick yesterday or today :(

Can lifting cause this? Should I be worried :(
Midwife just said monitor it n if it gets worse call hospital
 
I believe in early pregnancy you have to be careful on how much you lift and how.

I'd call my doctor just incase.
 
My doctor said if lifting causes spotting to rest and no more lifting. Due to 2 previous miscarriages I am on an exercise ban as well until 2nd tri.

Typically, in a healthy person w/out previous pregnancy issues, he said 20 lbs max for lifting in first tri and up to 40 lbs after that.
