Hello again everyone... It's been a while since I have been on BnB but I just wanted to show my face and let you all know how Harvey and I have been doing over the last 7 months since logging on.
For those of you who don't remember, my name is Steph and I have a 9 month old son Harvey. Harvey's dad and I went seperate ways when he was 3 weeks old and he started making ludicrous demands for access whilst Harvey was less then 6 weeks old. Like weekends overnight and 4 days with him a week. After going to mediation it was agreed that he would have Harvey 4-8pm 3 times a week... Needless to say this did not last long. In the 2nd week of the agreed contact he assaulted me and attempted to kidnap Harvey out in public and assaulted a friend of mine quite badly, leaving us both injured. A few days before he had reported me to social services for neglect (this was very quickly dropped when they learned of Harvey's dad violent nature towards my health visitor) anywho... He was arrested for ABH and court was scheduled for 21st November (yup finally next week) this happened back in April 2012. Since the assault Harvey's dad has not attempted to see Harvey and has not paid any money towards CSA (he's now in arrears of £155) he only has to pay £5 a week.
So here I am... Nearly 7 months on and finally getting some closure next week on the assault. 6 months ago I met a very nice person and he's been so wonderful to both Harvey and I and he has been very supportive towards the court aspect. I've finally moved out of my mums and found a nice little rental for Harvey and I and I am back at work working 30+ hours a week. Feeling good about myself.
I'll update you all next week about court, let us keep our fingers crossed that justice is served. As for the CSA, well I've not receieved anything to date so anything I get would be a bonus... But I will keep it going so he realises he has a responsiblity to his son even if he doesn't want to see him. Due to the violence I've already receieved confirmation that contact would be difficult if he applied for it. But anyway...
Hope you are all very well
