I have come here looking for a place where I can vent a little!
I am a nearly 30 year old (one month to go, eeek!), who has been married for nearly two years. My husband and I have just started TTC, we have put it off for a bit for financial reasons, and due to my job instability. But we have decided to go for it, and hopefully things will turn out ok.
Thing is, because we have put it off for a bit, now that we have decided to TTC, I want it to happen NOW! It is not helpful that my mum has told me time and time again how she got pregnant right again, or how my sister got knocked up a month after stopping taking the pill.
Tried for the first time in February, and I tested negative, though I must say I didn't wait, and it may have been too early. I was pretty upset, but then my period was due on the 7th, and when I started spotting I figured that was that. On Monday I got pretty bad cramps, and some bleeding, but then yesterday it was more spotting, and today was much of the same.
Since I read that some women experience spotting in the early stages of pregnancy, I have decided to buy a pregnancy test. BUT I haven't told my husband. Thing is, he travels A LOT for work, and we have been talking about how him making it home in time for us to DTD at the right time, may not happen, thus delaying our miracle from happening. I know he is upset about this, and I think he already believes that I am worrying too much. So I have chosen not to tell him, and will take the test in the morning. That way, if it comes back negative, no harm done. And if it happens to be positive, then I'll have good news to share with him! I must also add that he is currently miserable where he is, so it would really be quite wonderful to be able to give him some good news.
