Hello! I didn't see an intro thread for this subforum, so I thought I'd go ahead and introduce myself. I'm 34 years old, married for 11 years and have one beautiful son who will be 7 this March. My spouse and I are facing secondary infertility (have been trying for roughly about 3 years). We didn't seek out any "answers" until this past fall due to personal circumstances; we've finally started the process to find out if there is any reason for our troubles.

I'm hoping to have a place to seek support for this process and ask questions. I find that I often suffer in silence , which is what led me to seek out a board dedicated to S.I.

I did have one question related to the profile details, what exactly is meant by "family status?" I noticed a selection for TTC and mom, what if you are a mom who is TTC? Which do you select? Thanks!

hello and welcome. As you can see I chose Mum but I think either is fine. First of all let me say I'm sorry to meet another person going through these struggles but as you can see you are definitely not alone.

Good on you for taking the first step into finding out why you are here. I hope they find something nice and easy to fix...After all the normal tests I am still unexplained which hurts because apparently there is nothing to fix. Am currently on clomid but it hasn't worked yet and I am not holding up much hope that it will. We will be doing an IUI when we next see our fertility specialist in a few months when the drugs run out.

Wishing you lots of luck that your stay here is a short one and you find as much support here as I have. I don't know how I ever managed without these lovely ladies.

:dust: :dust: :dust:

THanks for the warm welcome and the explanation of the mum option.

I'm really happy to be able to find a community where I can just talk about our issues with SI....it's an odd place being stuck between fertility and infertility so to speak.

I got my period this month like clockwork....I try not to be negative because I'm thankful that I do have regular menstrual cycles....but I am starting to feel left behind a bit. I feel so tired of the same pattern happening month in and month out. *sigh*

I know exactly what you mean, I just got mine too but am so over it we decided to try an IUI this cycle instead of waiting. So excited.

Good luck hun

Hi and welcome, I also know exactly what you mean. I never for a min thought I'd find it difficult to fall pregnant again. My son is 15 and I wanted to wait till I found Mr Right till I had another. I have a wonderful partner now and we plan to marry. Being almost 34 though we decided to get a wriggle on with TTC. 1 year on and no luck..the :witch: is due on the 15th and got all the usual pms signs...back ache, spot on jaw line (as usual) plus I didn't get a surge on the clear blue fertility monitor :nope:

It is good though to have a place to vent and meet other women on the same journey. I hope you find the answeres you need and get a :bfp: very soon.

:dust:
