Hi there,

I've stumbled across this forum when doing a google search for clomid success stories for couples with unexplained fertility. I found AuntumnSky's post about it, and was excited to see that her avatar is a BFP! So I searched her posts and saw that she got pregnant on clomid which has filled me with relief as I was beginning to think my consultant had bunged me on Clomid as a last ditch attempt as we don't qualify for fertility treatment such as IUI and IVF because my husband has children from hi first marriage.

I also noticed that AutumnSky mentions something called the Instead Cup? I have googled this but am still unsure? I use a mooncup for my AF, is it the same thing? DO you use it in a differnet way to help conception??

Thanks for any help and advice!
We have been TTC over 2 years now with no known problems (had SA, Hysterscopy, D&C, tubes checked, hormmones etc etc all normak - but I do get some spotting which starts at about 8/9 dpo everymonth, which my consultant can't explain)

Hi & welcome Meg, I'm new on here too, and it seems really friendly so far!

I have no experience of Clomid personally, but I have seen it mentioned alot on this board, so if you have a search around I'm sure you should find some more information and hopefully some more success stories. I'm sure some other ladies with experience of it will get back to you too.

As for the Instead Cup, it's pretty much the same as the Mooncup, although I've read on here that there is a slight diffference - apparently the Instead Cup sits higher up in your cervix. Officially, it is for use with AF, but some ladies on here have used it to keep the spermies inside after BDing. I bought some last week but haven't tried them yet. I wanted to practice putting one in before using it for real so if no luck getting a BFP this month I will give them a go next month and let people know whether they worked or not!

Myself and my husband have been TTC for about 15 cycles now and no BFP so far. We have only just started with tests so are not aware of whether we have any problems yet, but we are keeping our fingers crossed.

Good luck to you. x

Oh and forgot to say, a few ladies who tried Intead Cups have had a BFP with them! As with anything (preseed for example) I'm sure they won't work for everyone, but I for one am willing to give them a try. You never know! x

HI meg27, welcome to bnb.

I've not any experience with clomid but girls on here are great and will be able to help you. I ordered instead cups this month but arrived quicker than i thought so used last couple of days, i've never used a mooncup but from the leaflet think the difference is instead cups are single use and mooncups aren't, think thats right!!! And basically used to keep the :spermy: from escaping, tmi i know. Been ttc for 2 years now so willing to try anything

take care
